Nandrolone decanoate is an injectable anabolic androgenic steroid.
It is indicated for the management of the anemia of renal insufficiency and has been shown to increase hemoglobin and red cell mass.
Nandrolone cannot be reduced by -5alpha reductase into DHT and therefore does not have an adverse reaction on the prostate.
Instead of DHT, nandrolone metabolizes into dihydronandrolone.
Nandrololone does not convert into estrogens. Nandrolone decanoate is one of the most potent anabolic steroid for muscle growth .
Dosage and administration
Male : 300-900 mg per week by intramuscular injection .
Female : 150- 450 mg per week by intramuscular injection.
Adverse reactions
Prepubertal: Phallic enlargement and increased frequency of erections.
Postpubertal: Inhibition of testicular function, testicular atrophy and oligosper- mia, impotence, chronic priapism, epididymitis and bladder irritability.
In women: Clitoral enlargement, menstrual irregularities. In both sexes: Increased or decreased libido.
